Protecting Your Peace (and Your Joy) This Holiday Season
Share
Hey sis,
Let’s talk...real talk. The holidays can be beautiful with lights, laughter, and love; but for many of us, they can also be heavy. Sometimes the pressure to be “on,” the loneliness of the season or sadness of loved ones that have transitioned can sneak up, and next thing you know, you’re not feeling so jolly.
But listen, you are not alone. Whether you’re dealing with family stress, grief, finances, body image, or just plain burnout; take a deep breath. You’re still doing amazing.
Here’s what I want you to remember: 💖 You are loved and your feelings are valid.
💖 You don’t have to be perfect to be present.
💖 Your size does not determine your worth, your light does.
💖 Self-care is not selfish, it’s survival.
This season, I want you to show up as your best self, not your “picture-perfect” self, but your real self. Wear the dress that makes you feel good. Cry or say no when you need to. Take some deep breathes. Light candles. Dance to old-school R&B in your living room if you have to. And if you’re struggling, please talk to someone — a friend, a counselor, or a hotline. Don’t hold it in. You matter too much!
The holidays aren’t about perfection, but love and peace. So, protect yours, sis.
